My name is Ross Middleton and I am married to Amy Middleton, the most amazing woman on the planet. I married way over my head, great advice for all young men out there looking for a good woman, marry over your head! I am also a father to three boys, so you can imagine what we live with. Every. Day. But we would not have it any other way. They are an absolute joy to us…….when they aren’t making me feel like I’m taking crazy pills!
I am from Panama City Beach, FL, yes, THAT Spring Break place, the Redneck Rivera, L.A., (Lower Alabama), but I have no accent. Amazing! I know right?! Amy is from Palm Harbor, FL, in the Tampa Bay Area. We met in college while attending FSU in Tallahassee, FL. I graduated with a degree in Music, she received a degree in International Affairs and we got married right after we graduated. Both Amy and I felt the call of God to reach college students for Christ with ENC in full time ministry. We spent a little over 6 months on the West Coast living in Los Angeles, CA attending the ENC School of Ministry, then came back to Tallahassee to give our lives to the campus for several years.
After our time in Tallahassee, I served as the Church Planter in Residence/Campus Pastor @ Ebenezers, one of our locations at National Community Church on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. under the leadership of Mark Batterson.
We then moved to South Florida to plant a church. After we got down here, I wanted to finish my masters, because I didn’t think planting a church and having a third child would be time consuming enough, so I attended Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale, FL, I was on the 11 year plan. I finally graduated with a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies.
We now live in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and feel privileged to serve the diverse community in South Florida by pastoring the church we planted, SouthCoast Church and raise our kids in an amazing region.
Come and join us! We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30AM in Downtown Fort Lauderdale!
