Why? God has called us to work, he has called us to be fruitful and take care of what he has given us to steward. Don’t hate Mondays, lets be honest for a second. If you didn’t work how lame would your life be? There is no purpose anymore, you just move to South Florida and collect seashells and play golf. LAME!!!! I’m never gonna stop working. I know I’ll slow down when I get old, but retirement is an American lie.
Why would you retire? When you are old, you have more wisdom and experience than ever before. Have something to do with your life. God didn’t tell Adam & Eve to chill and hang in the garden, he told them to work the garden.
God has created us to work, when we hate work, I think we have a skewed perspective on what God has called us to do. By the way, if you are a stay at home mom, you work harder than just about anyone else out there. Keep it up. The hand the rocks the cradle rules the world.
If you need God to change your heart concerning work, I would challenge you to study the scriptures, see what it says concerning God’s heart for work. Pray and ask God to change your heart. Thirdly, have a good attitude concerning work. Your work situation should not control your attitude, that’s under your control. You control your attitude about any and every situation. Generally no, but I don’t always like starting off the week. Today wasn’t too bad. It certainly helps when you get enough sleep.
