Tallahassee Democrat is Calling…
In case you’re not familiar with the situation at FSU with ENCM, read ENCM on Trial Part 1 and Part 2 under ENCM News.
I was contacted by a reporter from the Tallahassee Democrat today to get an official quote regarding the story. She indicated it would be in tomorrow’s paper but I wanted to go ahead and put it out there to make sure we are being represented in a way that I feel comfortable with. This is my first foray into the newspaper besides making the honor roll in elementary school and getting married.
Here is my official quote.
“Despite the action that has been taken by the student senate at FSU to take away all of our funding, we at Every Nation Campus Ministries are here to serve the university and help meet the spiritual needs of the university community. Although certain university employees have suggested we file a lawsuit against the university we have no intentions of taking any legal action whatsoever. I have already begun dialogue between our ministry and members of the university community to clear up any miscommunication that may exist.”
Pick up a copy of the paper tomorrow; it should be in Section A. Also, please pray that this issue will be resolved and that I, and our entire ministry, will continue to represent Jesus well as we navigate through the situation. I would also appreciate as many people as possible linking this post to blogs to get the word out, about how we as a ministry want to be represented.
